Two in the Bush

So today I decided to take hike on Bradley's Head with Saya. Below are the photos of our hike. Please enjoy with the music below:

Lovers, keep on the road you're on; Runners, until the race is run

Soldiers, you've got to soldier on; Sometimes even right is wrong

They are turning my head out; To see what I'm all about
Keeping my head down; To see what it feels like now

But I have no doubt; One day, we are gonna get out

Tonight maybe we're gonna run; Dreaming of the Osaka sun

Ohh ohh...Dreaming of when the morning comes

They are turning my head out; To see what I'm all about

Keeping my head down; To see what it feels like now

But I have no doubt; One day the sun will come out

Out of the ashes, a rainbow comes

The heat was unbearable, but shutting myself up in a cave, I lived through it. As the heat subsided over the next few weeks, certain natives on the Island showed up:

As I watched the Natives celebrate their festivals, I grew a little bolder.

A Japanese Tourist in Lima

The following is a submission to the March 2011 edition of the Japan Blog Matsuri

A Japanese tourist outside Huaca Pucllana in Lima, Peru.

The Japanese tourist, a cliché in its own right, came into existence ever since the economic boom of the 80s allowed a lot of the Japanese citizenry to travel around the globe. Despite the decline that has plagued Japan's economy for over a decade, you can still see Japanese schoolkids, businesspeople and youth all in many a country - such as in Peru (photo above), a country literally on the other side of the globe and on the opposite hemisphere (south).

A note on Japanese people in Peru
Not all Japanese in Peru are tourists, however. Japanese Peruvians (Peruano-Japonés, Nipo-peruano, 日系ペルー人, Nikkei Perūjin) are people of Japanese ancestry who were born in or immigrated to Peru. The immigrants from Japan are called the Issei generation. Second and third generation Peruvians are referred to as Nisei and Sansei in Japanese. The Yonsei are the fourth generation after the Issei.

Japanese Peruvians comprise the second largest ethnic Japanese population in Latin America after Brazil (1.5 million). This ethnic group comprises today approximately 0.3% of the total population of Peru.

Pilot

22 January 2011
I woke up sneezing despite the warm weather. Where am I? The piercing Sun stared back at me, but did not reply. Got to find shelter and get out of the open air.

24 January 2011
Moved into camp in the center of the Island. Hot weather still, but dry.

26 January 2011
Island natives gather by the harbour and celebrate:

5 February
Worst of the heat strikes - I am nearly burnt to a crisp. In camp, I sweat like a chicken in the oven. The Sun seems to be....different here, compared to the Outside World. I stare at the thermometer - the numbers seem to climb higher, and higher...

So this is it? Death by fire, without even knowing why I am on this godforsaken rock?

Prologue

18 January 2011
So, less than two days left till I leave.
The creeping worries and countless thoughts that invaded my mind in the previous weeks are slowly washing away as I turn to face my future.

Sometime last year, I was approached to be part of a research team. It involved moving, and a change in life's direction. I had a tough time deciding whether to go. Sure, I had a small yearning for something new, and I wasn't exactly happy with my current lot. But it was familiar ground. Frankly speaking, my thirst for adventure in the past had been dulled - my enthusiasm for life had been on a steady decline. And no, I'm no old codger, but monotony and the lack of friends has its way. Then came the dream - leave I had to, was the message.

Following that dream, everything went south on me. Fate? Was it? Or did I read too much into things? Either way, I signed on. My bags are packed. And the Island awaits.

Colleges, Unite!

New on campus and feeling lonely? Wondering what (unadvertised) fun events are going on in and around college? Or just want to meet more people outside your circle?

Networking online is a great way to make new friends, connect with old ones who may happen to be studying in the same college, or simply to look for something fun to do around campus during those long between-lecture breaks. Or for those thinking way ahead, build up your network online so that you may land that great job upon graduation. And even organize your own events!

Waaaaaaaaiiiiiiiit a minute……..are you talking about Facebook?
Facebook was a great idea when it first came out, but, like all outfits who became behemoths and large profit margin corporations; it has stumbled onto a lot of fumble-ups, notably privacy issues, at the expense of its users (see articles below):
http://mashable.com/2010/05/23/facebook-ceo-mistakes/
http://www.webpronews.com/blogtalk/2010/05/25/facebook-privacy-issues-getting-worse

And if you already do have a Facebook page, you may notice annoying little ads by the side of your page. And you have to live with it (on Facebook). But why should you? And as if this is not enough, Facebook is now very much “mainstream” – this means it’s used not only by students and youth, but also corporations, scammers, and *gasp* your parents! This means your mom and dad can see those photos of you drunk in that pub crawl, doing all sorts of crazy stuff, and with that new girl or guy that you may know want them to know about.

So, stick to offline (very restrictive) networking or go online and risk everything I do being known to the world? There is a third alternative! This College (http://www.thiscollege.com/) takes you back to the days before Facebook went all “Wall Street” on us. You can now connect with your fellow college mates (or get to know new people from other colleges) online, join/create events, post your photos/videos and be a little less lonely in a new environment without having your privacy violated and being visually assaulted with (offending) ads! And it’s free too!

A very NSFW Confession part 3

Part 1
Part 2

Okay. So, K ups and leaves the house. But on the last night (long after the Part 1 incident), we were alone in the courtyard - the other housemates had not yet come back from a party. A rather risqué conversation ensued.

(moment of silence)
K: Do guys think of particular girls when they wank?
Me: (WTF!?)Shouldn't you be asking your boyfriend about that?
K: I'm curious, that's all
Me: Well, I do. Not sure about others.
K: Do you ever think of me when you're doing it?
Me: (Lies) Nope.
K: Why not? Am I ugly?
Me: No, no you're as cute as a pin
K: So why don't you think about me?
Me: Well first of all-
K: Well, can't you allow me just one brief appearance? But you can't put it in though, cos we're just friends. As long as you don't put it in, you can imagine anything else you want. And I want you to tell me later how it was like.
Me: I-I'll give it a go.

I found out later that was the day she found out her sister hung herself - still, its an odd reaction though

In my final year, when I was really ronery and had no internet at home and limited porn on my laptop, I fapped to her photo quite often.

Later, just before graduation, I went out to dinner with a bunch of friends, including her. So, after dinner when we were all heading back on the subway, she didn't get off at her station - and neither did I.

We went to a strip club, a kebab place after and then the closest of our places - my place. We were watching some stupid movie on my laptop - I didn't have sofa or anything just my bed - when I felt a hand on my cock.

I then got a hand job + fellatio.

She proceeded to fall asleep after the act, and me too soon after. In the morning, she was gone. No note or anything. And I never heard from her again.

Pete Barton:
So when are you going to start looking for her because she's the one like a 80's romance flick. When you do, can I come for the ride? I never get to go on wacky road trips.
Here, you can play this song when you two meet up again while I hold the stereo.
